Fender ’57 reissue Precision Bass
Discontinued and part of the famed American Vintage series, this P-Bass replicates all the physical and tonal characteristics of a genuine bass from 1957, with features such as the anodized gold pickguard, ash body, one-piece maple neck and fretboard, and split-coil pickup with raised A string pole pieces for better string balance.The bass weighs 9lbs 14oz.
The maple neck has a classic “wide and flat” neck profile that is a signature of late ’50s Precision basses, with a 1 3/4″ wide synthetic bone nut. The neck has a smooth gloss nitro lacquer finish. The 34″ scale boasts 20 original, vintage-style frets.
All original electronics, with full size CTS pots wired to the stock pickup with the distinctive raised A pole pieces (something only seen on Fender basses from 1957-58). Comes with stock bridge, knurled metal knobs, and black molded thumb rest, gold anodized pickguard & gloss blonde nitro lacquer.
